I'll be going through all of the unmissable story achievements first, and then get into the more nuanced achievements that you may need to be purposefully trying to get.
This one is going to be a bit of a different format than normal. We'll have to go through five playthroughs, but not all of them will take that long. I'll point out good places to get each of the achievements, but the best way to follow this guide is to just go from start to finish and follow the steps to get everything done. This game is so short I'd recommend going through it blind once, and then come back here for this full achievement guide because there WILL BE SPOILERS. You've been warned.
We'll also grab all five of the special lore tapes throughout as that's required for one of the last achievements we go over.
Starting out you'll proceed to the "Kitchen Tape" and while that's playing you can proceed through it normally. When asked about your favorite pie you can get some special dialogue by entering in "peach", "wooly" or "mutton." And for anything else you enter you'll be forced into making an apple pie.
After the tape you'll need to use the oven to bake a pie. Well, we're going to go ahead and get "Not That Pie" for baking a peach pie. So, you'll need to go over to the right of the oven and grab the peach sitting back off to the side on a box. Put that in the pan and bake it at 425 degrees for 40 minutes.
It'll shake and we'll get both the achievement and our first lore tape! All of our lore tapes that we unlock will persist through our playthroughs on the same save and can be found on the shelves next to the TV.
Now after watching that tape, we can go get "Pie Flavored" for actually baking a pie. You'll need to do the same thing we did for the peach one, but this time with the apple pie. This is what Amanda wants you to do so this time you'll get the next progression tape.
Then we'll put in the "In Your Neighborhood" tape and you'll have to follow the choices that Amanda wants you to. You can mess with her a bit and she'll get pretty angry. After the package is sent out you'll be able to turn around and see a piano on the table. But what to play...
Well for "Beethoven in training" you'll need to play a song. We can find the notes to play for this from the signs in front of the buildings in the "In Your Neighborhood" tape. Each one has a bold and black letter which correlate to keys on the piano. So play those (C, B, F) and you'll get the achievement, plus the next progression tape!
Now going to "Oh No! Accidents" we'll see Wooly is injured and freaking out about Amanda. She notes the time (3:45) and then asks what part of him is hurt. Answer that correctly with knee, and then she'll ask who can help him.
For "The Sad Truth" we'll need to answer with "Nobody." Very sad, and very true with him trapped there with Amanda... And it gets us the second lore tape!
You'll move on to the hospital scene and note the time there (6:20).
You'll eventually be forced to move on to the hospital room Amanda wants you to and again you'll have a clock with the time (22:50) this time.
Once out of that tape you can turn around to find a clock on the table. For "Chronomancer" we'll need to wind all of the clocks. For this first one on the table you'll need to wind it to 3:45. It'll then start spinning and we can move onto the digital clock to your left.
It'll need to be set to 22:50 which converted to standard time will be 10:50.
You're supposed to have to set the clock on the far back wall to 6:20, but I did not have to. It was left at 3:45 and everything progressed normally.
For the last clock we have the grandfather clock in the back near the hatch out of the attic. We just need to grab the hour hand first. Head back over to the desk and look at the board next to it where you'll find a newspaper clipping and some sticky notes. Grab the hour hand that's holding the newspaper up and go attach it to the grandfather clock. Then Set the time to 5:15 and you'll get the achievement as well as our next progression tape.
Side note: You also get the code to the safe (826) from in there. It'll turn into a cardboard box at this point though, so we won't be getting into it just yet. But remember that for a future run.
When Amanda asks what part of him is hurt you'll need to answer that correctly with knee, and then she'll ask who can help him.
For "The Sad Truth" we'll need to answer with "Nobody." Very sad, and very true with him trapped there with Amanda... And it gets us the second lore tape!
Now we'll move on to get "A Gruesome End" for meeting a violent end by putting in the "Everything Rots!" tape. You'll go through some forced choices to point out what's rotten and asked what the opposite of alive is. You'll need to say dead, but spoiler alert, it's about to be you. She wouldn't take that answer though....
Once you answer her question about everything rotting, you'll leave the TV when the tape ends and then you'll be greeted by a giant Amanda spider that crawls into the attic and kills you. Now that we have that achievement it's time for our second run.
Now starting from the beginning for this run we'll do many of the same things, but this time we have the safe code (826.) Inside the safe you'll find a sheet of paper that completes the symbols to colors code on the board next to the desk. Plus, the pause button that you can attach to the TV so you can pause the tapes. This is where the game starts getting even more interesting.
So, with that out of the way we can put in "The Kitchen" tape. Proceed normally until it gets to the point of showing a close up of Amanda with the knife. Pause there and you'll be able to see a drawing of the oven on fire and an arrow pointing on the left knob. Leave the TV and go in the back of the attic to the oven and adjust the temperature knob to crank it up.
Then head back over to the TV and you'll see that it's now Amanda and Wooly screaming as the kitchen is on fire. Then the tape will end.
Now we can get "Rodent Recycling" for... well you'll see. The table will have the oven and a block of cheese with a recipe for a meat pie. You'll need meat, potato, and a mushroom, and you'll have to cook those at 525 degrees for 50 minutes.
To get the mushroom you'll need to go over to the right of the TV and pull it from where the water is leaking.
Now for the meat part you'll need to take that chunk of cheese over to the back left of the attic and there will be a mousetrap. Place the cheese on that and turn around. You'll hear a snap and boom. You have the piece of meat. Yes it's gross, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Now lastly, we need to grab a potato. If you check the symbol to colors list by your desk, you'll see that a crescent moon is potato. Doesn't make sense yet, but once you go over to the shelf by the attic door, you'll see many pots with symbols. Find the crescent moon one and that will have a potato seed. Bring it over to the leak to the right of the TV and allow it to get watered by that. After a few drops it'll be grown, and you can toss the potato, rat, and mushroom all in the pan and cook it for 50 minutes at 525 degrees. You'll then get the next progression tape as well as the achievement.
Now moving onto the "In Your Neighborhood" tape you'll see that it's much different than last time. You'll of course be forced to choose the 24/7 store, but once inside we're going to pause the TV while it shows the banner above the cards. These are music notes. And we have a piano...
So, in order to get "Beethoven" for playing another song, you'll head over to the piano and play the notes F A C A D E in order to get the achievement and our third lore tape. Yes, it spells facade as that's what all of this really is.
You'll then go through the rest of that tape where you're forced to select a birthday card for Wooly, you're forced to go to the butcher shop, and then finally you'll give the card to Wooly and the tape will end.
You'll then find that the table has a coloring book. You'll need to color them in by which ones you tried to visit. That order will be the 24/7 store, the candy shop, and the butcher shop. The post office will not be colored as we didn't try to go to it on this run. Once that's done, you'll go through the same type of thing a few times until it finally reveals the word GUTS and a picture of a doll having its head cut off with a pair of scissors.
Well, we can get "Crayon Cutter" for finding the scissors by using that code word GUTS on the red toolbox over by the attic door. You'll grab the scissors, and our next progression tape from inside while also getting this achievement. Hold off on using the scissors for now.
Now we'll put the new tape "What is a family" in the TV. This part is pretty specific on what you have to do so you'll need to follow the steps on this tape pretty carefully.
By following those we'll get "Tonight's Forecast" for learning about the weather. So, starting out you'll go through the things in the tape naturally, but as soon as the weather alert pops up, you'll need to pause and exit from the TV. Go to the table where you'll find one of those toys that normally have different animal noises, but this time it's for kinds of weather. So, we'll pull it and it'll land on a storm, and we'll find out what a storm says.
Go back to the TV to continue on, but once you get to the chickens' part Amanda will ask about daddy chickens. Answer something incorrectly and you'll have a tornado warning come on. Pause the video again and go pull the lever to spin the toy again.
Now we can go back over to the TV, and we can get "Daddy Issues" for going into a touchy subject... So, this time we'll enter in SAM as the daddy chickens name as that's the name of her dad. She doesn't like that. This will also get you the fourth lore tape.
She'll then ask about seeing the sheep. We're not going to select the sheep sign, but just select either of the others. Once you click the other two it will trigger another weather alert. Pause the tape on it and go spin the toy lever again. With that one the cover will pop off revealing our next progression tape as well as getting us the "Tonight's Forecast" achievement finally.
"Daddy Issues" will be for going into a touchy subject... So, this time when Amanda asks for the daddy chicken's name we'll enter in SAM as that's the name of her dad. She doesn't like that. This will also get you the fourth lore tape.
We won't move on to this next tape just yet though, because we still have a bit to go with the current one. Now continuing on with that tape you'll visit the sheep and here it's just Amanda and a kitten. She'll ask what the kitten is, the answer is alone. Don't tell my girlfriend, that's how we ended up with Mango. Then she'll ask if you'll help the kitten. You can say no once or twice, but definitely say yes, or you'll end up being killed the same way as the first run. Once you say yes, the tape will end.
Now we can get "A Fateful End" for meeting a tragic end by moving onto the "Everything Rots" tape we received from the toy earlier and this one is pretty much the same as last time. But now instead of mr fox we have a kitten trapped in a cage. You'll be forced to say yes to helping it. Then the tape will end and you'll go back to the attic. You'll hear music and see light coming from the attic door. Go over to that and then you'll be taken to the animated butcher shop from earlier and get this achievement.
Now it'll be time to go to the third run through the game. We're NOT going to get the last lore tape because we still have two more endings before the secret ending and once we have all 5 of the lore tapes one of them will always turn into the secret ending.
So, you'll go through the kitchen tape as normal. Bake the apple pie and continue on to the in your neighborhood tape. You'll go through that one normally as well until you get to the corner store. There you'll pause while the banner up top is showing, and it'll have the price of blab bot. Back out of the TV and before we head over to blab bot we'll need to go over to the toolbox and open it up with the "GUTS" password.
Grab the scissors and take them over to the doll. Cut her head off as we saw on a picture earlier. She has two batteries in there that we can use to turn on Blab Bot.
Then you can enter in the price for blab bot into him which would be 150325. Then hit the green check mark and he'll say send my condolences to Kate. Uh-oh what happened to Kate...
Go back to the tape and it's changed. Amanda will say she doesn't want to play anymore and ends the tape. We can then get "Happy Birthday" for not getting any presents. You'll walk up to the birthday cake on the table and open up the card. You'll see a number with candles being used in place of ones. Enter that number into blab bot (081821) and he'll reply with 325F at 30 minutes.
Go set the oven to that and it'll shake before opening up with another card and a candle. Put the candle on the cake and then open up the card to see a set of math problems. Each one is a candle so we'll end up with 442130. Enter that into blab bot and he'll reply with "What's in the card is on the cake."
That means with us having 2 candles on the cake we'll put a 2 for each of the candles in the math problems. So we end up with 835161 which we can enter into blab bot. He'll reply with 6 letters. C C D C F E. Those of course are all notes that you can play on the piano and once you do that it'll open up with a third candle. Stick that on the cake and it'll melt reveling the next progression tape and getting us the achievement.
Now moving onto the "Oh No! Accidents" tape again it'll be a bit different. Wooly is begging for help, but now it's his head that's injured. You'll be forced through a few choices until Amanda asks about medical instruments and then tells you she'll use all of them on him. They get into a fight and Amanda asks for help. Either way ends the same and the tape ends.
If you take a look at the table, we now have another tape. This one isn't the normal show though. Grab that and play it where you'll see a lot of cuts that tell you there's a treat at the trap door.
Head over to the attic door and you'll see another tape. This time it's going to say "How many chairs, mushrooms, fruits, and lights?" So you'll check each of those in the attic and figure out that there are 2 chairs, 8 mushrooms, 6 fruit, and 2 lights.
The only other lock left in the room is the wardrobe near the attic door. Enter the code there and you'll find an empty bucket and another tape.
Go play that one and you'll get another series of cuts that tell you a number 401258. Sounds like another number for blab bot. So go enter that in on him and he'll reply with a long message that basically means the key to the chest by the attic door is inside him. So at this point you'll just take the bucket from in the wardrobe and bring it to the leak in the corner of the room to fill it up.
Now back to the main mission at hand to get "Best Friend" for dumping the bucket of water on Blab Bot to get the key and using that key to open up the trunk. Inside is a tape that we'll need to play to get the "A Hollow End" achievement and ending.
Splish Splash is for finding Goggles. Once the bucket is filled with water drop something like a pot into the bucket and you'll see Goggles.
So, play the tape you got from the trunk and Amanda will ask if you want to know her big secret. Type no and she'll be very disappointed. Then the tape will end, and you'll just find a note that says to leave. Now the attic door is open, and you can go. This is truly a hollow ending.
Now going back in we have the normal "The End" ending that we'll get as well as the "The End" achievement. So, you'll continue on the same way to do a new run, but this time we're going to go straight to the wardrobe to unlock that, take the bucket to the leak to fill it, and then dump water on him to get the key and unlock the chest.
Play the tape again and this time when Amanda asks if she can tell you her secret you'll say yes and answer yes each time she asks. You'll then get that ending and eventually destroy the TV.
Now it's time to go in for the final SECRET ending and get our last lore tape as well.
For "Peekaboo" we'll need to play peekaboo with gret-chan who the doll is. You'll need to give her another flower to match her other one, so you'll need to grow one. The symbol to color chart says that it would be in the pot with a symbol that looks like the number 21, or a fancy 4. It'll be over by the chest behind some boxes rather than over on the shelves with the others.
So, take that to the leak to get it watered and then bring the flower to gret-chan. She'll thank you and ask you to turn around. Once you look back at her.... BOOM she has the fifth lore tape!
Now with that we can go get "The End?" for the secret ending. So, repeat what we did for the last ending by throwing a bucket of water on blab bot to get the key, unlock the chest, and play the last tape. You'll answer yes to Amanda again and then you'll go through the secret ending.
The difference is now you'll hear a knock and mysterious stranger will be at the table.
