In order to start grabbing these Daedalian keys from around the Hogwarts Castle you'll need to talk to Nelli Oggspire and start the quest "The Daedalian Keys."
Finding each one means not only finding the key, but also following it to a cabinet that it'll unlock. Once that's done, you'll have that part of your house chest key which you'll need for a sweet outfit themed around whichever house you're in.
And of course, since Nelli shows us how these keys work in order to start the quest that means we'll have one down automatically. Just 15 to go and we'll have that Slytherin drip. Or I guess whatever house you're in drip.
When you find one of the keys flying around, you may not see it immediately, but you’ll be able to hear it once you get close. Then as you walk up to it, you’ll activate it and it’ll fly around to lead you to the cabinet that it unlocks.
Walk up to that cabinet and interact with it where you’ll be placed in a mini game where you’ll need to wait for the key to fly past the keyhole and smack it in. If you miss, just try again, but once you get it, you’ll also get the house token from inside the cabinet.
Repeat that 15 more times after the one that's required, and you'll have all of the keys for the house chest!
A few of these will require some levels of alohamora - so if you haven’t already started collecting demiguise to get a couple of levels of that spell then check out my demiguise location guide so you can get at least level 2 of that spell.
The first one is going to be over near the Defense Against the Dark Arts floo flame.
From there head downstairs to this large skeleton display where the key will be hanging out. Once you get close enough it’ll fly back upstairs where you’ll need to chase it up, to the left, and along the wall all the way back here.
The second one will be near the Bell Tower Courtyard floo flame.
Once there you’ll go up the stairs and through the door. Then continue up the stairs and you’ll find the key. Then follow it all the way up the next flights of stairs until you can wrap around to the left where you’ll find this cabinet.
The third will also be near the Bell Tower Courtyard floo flame.
Again, go up the stairs and through the door. Then instead of going up the staircase, you’ll go to the left and down the other flight of stairs. Keep going down and through the door on your left. You’ll have a lot more stairs to go down and you’ll pass by the cabinet. Eventually you'll get to where you come up to a giant dragon statue on your left and under the stairs, you’ll find the key flying around. Activate it and it’ll fly back up the stairs to that cabinet we passed earlier.
The fourth will also be in this same area near the Bell Tower Courtyard floo flame, but we’ll start it from the giant dragon statue. You’ll go down the hallway directly in front of the dragon and take a right. Then follow the key further down and take a left before the stairs to find this cabinet.
The fifth will be near the Potions Classroom floo flame.
From the floo flame you’ll turn left and go to the potions classroom and the key will be sitting in the little room right outside of the classroom. Once activated the key will take you downstairs. Keep going down there until you run straight into the cabinet.
The sixth will be near The Grand Staircase floo flame.
Once you travel there you’ll go straight up the stairs and at the giant hourglasses you’ll go through the double doors on your left. The key will be flying around there, and you’ll need to follow it downstairs and to the right to the cabinet.
The seventh will also be near The Grand Staircase floo flame.
If we go back to the giant hourglasses, we’ll go through the other set of double doors this time. Go straight through the next set, and then go to the left over near the fireplace where this key will be. It’ll then lead you over to the other side of the room and up these stairs to the right to the cabinet.
The eighth will be near The Central Hall floo flame.
Go there and then down the stairs and to the right towards the greenhouse area. Then take a left before that door and this key will be flying around here. Follow it back up the stairs, across the room, and down the other side’s stairs. Then take a right to find this other cabinet.
The ninth will be over by The Grand Staircase floo flame.
You’ll go up the stairs straight ahead and continue up the stairs around the right. You’ll pass the cabinet here and then keep going up to the spiral staircase and keep going up that for a while until you finally get up here to where this key is sitting. Then go all the way back down to where we passed that cabinet before to find it again.
The tenth will be near The Library floo flame.
You’ll go to the center and to the right to where the fireplace is and slightly further to the right is where the key will be. Then follow it across the library towards the entrance and to the right where this cabinet will be.
The eleventh will be over near The Central Hall floo flame again.
Go up the stairs and then take a right at the top of the stairs. This key will be sitting underneath the staircase on the right. Then follow it back down the stairs and to the right where this cabinet will be.
The twelfth will be near The Quad Courtyard floo flame.
From the flame go over to the staircase to the left and find this key here. Then go back down all the way and over to the area under the other set of stairs on the other side of the courtyard to find this cabinet.
The thirteenth will be near The Faculty Tower floo flame.
From the floo flame you’ll run down the hallway and take a right to go through the door here. Pass this cabinet and go up the stairs. Then this key will be in the middle of this room. Follow it back downstairs to the cabinet we passed earlier.
The fourteenth will also be near The Faculty Tower floo flame.
From the cabinet we just opened we’ll go back up the stairs and then up the next set of stairs. Once you get to the end of that you’ll need to take a right and go up this next set of stairs up here and then up the spiral stairs all the way up to this statue. Here you can take a right to go towards a bunch of cogs at the end of a hallway. This key will be sitting at the end of that hallway and then you can follow it back towards the statue that was at the top of the spiral stairs.
The fifteenth will be near The Clock Tower Courtyard floo flame.
You’ll run straight to the locked door on the left and unlock that. Then go up the staircase all the way up to the first clock tower platform where this key will be over to the left. Then head inside the door next to it and up this set of stairs to the next clock tower platform. Over to the left you’ll find this last cabinet.
